If you don’t like long policies: that’s basically it. The rest is the “proper” version.
This policy applies to the Tiny Tales app (the “App”) and any services we operate to power the App (the “Service”).
The App accesses your device camera to let you take a photo. When you tap to generate a Thought, the photo (or a compressed/encoded version) may be sent to our server to:
We do not access your camera or photos without your action (taking a photo and requesting a Thought).
The App uses a device identifier (stored on your device) to manage features such as usage limits and “Smart Thought” credit balance. This identifier is not intended to directly identify you as a person.
If you buy “Smart Thoughts”, the transaction is processed by Google Play / Apple. We receive basic purchase signals needed to grant credits (for example: product ID, purchase status, and a transaction token/receipt).
We may collect minimal diagnostic information (such as crash logs) to keep the App stable and fix bugs. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, provide choices.
We may share information only as needed to operate the App:
We do not sell personal information. We do not share your data with advertisers for targeted advertising.
We keep information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above. Photos may be processed transiently to generate a Thought. We aim to avoid storing photos permanently unless required for troubleshooting or improving the service (and if we do, we will update this policy).
If you’re running a developer/testing setup, photos may pass through local/dev servers during testing.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to keep things sensible and safe.
Tiny Tales is designed to be family-friendly. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we’ll take appropriate steps.
Depending on where our servers/providers are located, your information may be processed in countries outside the UK. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards where required.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above and, if changes are significant, we may provide additional notice in the App.
